2000 Cross Country Season (Freshman): Named
the Pac-10 Women's Newcomer of the Year ...
Stanford's second runner and eighth overall at the
Stanford Invitational ... Was the number two runner
and 23rd overall at the Pre-NCAA meet in Ames, IA
... Helped lead Stanford to the Pac-10 title with her
fifth place overall finish at the Conference championships
... Finished 20th at the NCAA West Region
Championships which Stanford won ... Runner-up
in the Junior Women's 6,000 meter race at the U.S.
Winter Cross Country Nationals which earned her a
spot on the U.S. World Junior Cross Country team.
2001 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Enjoyed an outstanding career at
Punahou School ... In cross country, finished first at
the 1999 Footlocker National Championships in a
course record time of 17:05.8 ... The Hawaii state
cross country champion during her senior season ...
In track, won eight Hawaii state track titles, twice in
the 1,500 meters, 1,600 meters, 3,000 meters, and
3,200 meters ... Finished second in the 3,000 meters
at the 1999 Junior National Championships, and
third at the 1999 Junior Pan-Am Championships ...
Placed first in the 3,200 meters at the 1999 Golden
West Invitational ... Holds the state record in the
1,500 and 1,600 meters ... A Gatorade Circle of
Champions award winner ... The Hawaii High
School Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year (1999,

(3,200 meters) ... A 1999 USA Track &
