STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford softball players earned a program-best nine National Fastpitch Coaches Association honors, as announced Tuesday by the organization.
Cardinal representatives include: Kayla Bonstrom (international relations), Kaitlyn Lagattuta, Victoria Molina, Bessie Noll, Jessica Plaza (human biology), Kaitlin Schaberg (management science and engineering), Madi Schreyer, Kylie Sorenson and Lauren Wegner.
Stanford's nine honors eclipses the program's previous high of seven awards in 1999 and 2012. It is also the most honors of any Pac-12 school.
The Cardinal accumulated eight Pac-12 All-Academic honors, including a conference-best five members on the first and second teams, earlier this year. The Cardinal's eight honors tied Washington for the most in the conference.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA for the 2014-15 academic year.
