SEATTLE - No. 38 Stanford defeated No. 59 Washington 5-2 on Sunday afternoon, collecting its season-best sixth straight victory.
The Cardinal (12-4, 4-0 Pac-12) swept its Pacific Northwest road trip and will play its final five matches at home. The Huskies (10-9, 0-4 Pac-12) have dropped five in a row.
Stanford captured the doubles point for a 1-0 lead with victories on courts one and three.
David Wilczynski pushed the advantage to 2-0 following a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gal Hakak at the No. 3 spot.
Jeff Hawke put Washington on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Anthony Tsodikov on court six.
The Cardinal then tacked on two more singles wins to secure the match, with Tom Fawcett defeating Mitch Stewart 6-4, 6-1 at the top spot and Robert Stineman clinching the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Emmett Egger at the No. 4 position.
Maciek Romanowicz earned a victory at the No. 5 spot, rounding out the scoring for Stanford.
Stanford hosts Fresno State on Tuesday, April 7, at 3:30 p.m. PT. The weekend continues against UCLA on Friday, April 10 (4 p.m. PT) and USC on Saturday, April 11 (2 p.m. PT).
