STANFORD, Calif. - No. 36 Stanford collected its seventh consecutive victory on Tuesday afternoon, holding off Fresno State 4-1 at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal (13-4, 4-0 Pac-12), which has not lost since Feb. 28, was opening a five-match homestand to close out the regular season.

The Bulldogs (13-9, 2-3 Mountain West) entered the contest having won four of its last five.

Stanford locked up the doubles point for a 1-0 lead and clinched the match thanks to Tom Fawcett's 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top spot of the lineup.

John Morrissey cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 win at the No. 2 spot against Sai Kartik Nakireddi, extending Stanford's lead to 2-0.

Fresno State got on the scoreboard with Adam Glynn's 6-2, 6-3 triumph over Maciek Romanowicz on court four.

Yale Goldberg contributed a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Youssef Hassan at the No. 6 spot, increasing Stanford's lead to 3-1.

Fawcett then secured the match before Fresno State had forced the remaining two matches to a third set.

Stanford next hosts No. 15 UCLA on Friday, April 10 at 4 p.m. PT.
