FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Seniors Alex Clay and Lilly Hinrichs, and sophomore Gracia Leydon-Mahoney each qualified for the NCAA Championships with top-ten performances at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships at Northern Arizona University.
In all, the trio qualified for seven spots among the three diving events.
Leydon-Mahoney, who won Pac-12 titles in the 3-meter and platform this year, has qualified in all three events -- the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform. She was tops among the 59 divers in the 3-meter prelims on Tuesday and finished fourth overall with a score of 644.85. One day earlier, she finished fifth at 605.10 on the 1-meter. She wrapped up the three-day qualifying meet with a sixth-place finish of 523.85 on the platform.
Clay also qualified for two events on the first two days. She accumulated a score of 597.00 to place ninth on the 3-meter, and finished sixth at 576.25 on the 1-meter to earn an NCAA spot in that event as well.
Hinrichs punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships in two events. She earned a 10th-place score of 588.25 on Tuesday on the 3-meter, and then placed third on the platform with a score of 542.60.
