Brian Talbott is Stanford's senior associate director of athletics and chief financial officer.
Talbott is responsible for most business enterprises within the department, including accounting and finance, information technology, camps and clinics and travel services. He also serves as sport administrator for men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics and women's golf.
Talbott has been with Stanford since 2006. Prior to his arrival on The Farm, he was the director of strategy and finance for the central human resources department at Stanford. Before serving in that capacity from 2003-06, Talbott worked for several years in a management consulting firm in Los Angeles that specialized in financial and human resources consulting.
Talbott received his bachelor's degree from Pomona in 1997 and a master’s of business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern in 2003.
Talbott was born in Palo Alto and currently resides in San Francisco with his wife, Natalie, their daughter, Madeline, and son, Connor. Talbott enjoys skiing, tennis, camping and traveling. He has visited 45 states and over 25 foreign countries.
