BE A HE[A]RO Double

Our He[a]ros are back!  Which means that #GivingTuesday is now officially 20 days away. We get excited about #GivingTuesday as it is a specific day to, “come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.”

On this day we celebrate you, our generous supporters who make this crucial research possible.  You supports us in so many ways: you enthusiatically follow along with our research and regularly send kind words of support and encouragement to our researchers, you share our research with your friends and family, attend our events, and many of you have generously given financially to support the research.  For this we thank you!

As you may well be aware, hearing loss research lacks the lobby that many other causes have.  All we have to do is say “Pink” and you might think of breast cancer research, but surprisingly, many of us suffering from hearing loss ourselves or with friends or family with hearing loss, are not aware that research is already well underway to create cures.

As such, we are asking our supporters to give us their time and voices this #GivingTuesday.  Spend some time reading about our research, if you haven’t already, and then get out there and tell people about it.  Let them know that Stanford has the largest group of world-renowned clinicians and scientists working to create safe and effective cures for hearing loss.  Help us by raising your voices and making this important research known.

We will post a little something about each of our researchers, over the next 20 days, to get you started.  You can share our research on Facebook, encourage your friends and family to join us on LinkedIn, Pinterest, or sign-up for our newsletter – or simply point them to one of the new websites for our labs.  There are so many ways to share your enthusiasm and be a He[a]ro this #GivingTuesday just by #RaisingYourVoice
