Dr. Cheng was honored to be the Keynote speaker at this year’s OPTION Schools 2015 Annual Meeting. Below are his remarks on the meeting:

The OPTIONS Schools Annual Meeting took place on 4/27-28 in Sacramento. It is a national meeting among OPTIONS Schools like the CHATT Center in Sacramento and the Weingarten Children’s Center in Redwood City, both important in caring for hearing-impaired children.

I was invited by Laura Turner who is the director of the CHATT center. As the keynote speaker, I talked about the present and future to biomedical research and how they might impact hearing loss management and diagnosis. I also talked about the use of cochlear implantation and their applications and limitations. I also visited the CHATT center (which is a highlight every year during this conference).
