IT Services will replace key network switches beginning Saturday night, October 20 into Sunday morning, October 21. Some campus services will be affected as a result.

The switch replacement work requires shutting down key online applications, beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Services should be available again by 8 a.m. Sunday. Examples of applications that will be unavailable during this period include:

  • Axess
  • Coursework
  • DocuShare
  • eProtocols
  • Exchange email (LBRE and Office of General Counsel)
  • HelpSU (requests will be accepted and queued)
  • Library journal access
  • Mailman mailing lists (messages will be accepted and queued)
  • Oracle Financials
  • PeopleSoft
  • Remedy
  • SearchWorks
  • Secure Portal
  • SeRA
  • Socrates
  • Sponsorship Manager

These services should not be affected:

  • AFS
  • Authentication (WebAuth)
  • Email and Calendar (Zimbra) & Incoming/Outgoing Email gateways
  • Google Apps (undergraduate students, the Graduate School of Business, and the Law School)
