Center for Magnetic Nanotechnology (CMN)

Magnetic Biosensors & Biochips

The center's mission is to stimulate research at Stanford in magnetic nanotechnology, magnetic sensing, spintronics, information storage, energy conversion and other related emerging technologies; to facilitate collaboration between Stanford scientists and their industrial colleagues; to train well-rounded and highly skilled graduate students; and to develop curricular offerings in the relevant subjects.

The center also operates:

Frontier of Magnetic Nanotechnology and Spintronics: annual reviews, workshops, short courses and conferences on magnetics-related technologies including nanotechnology, spintronics, energy and information storage.

Nanomagnetics Facility provides processing and characterization capabilities for magnetic and other novel materials.
