Stanford joins Teaching Accessibility initiative

Jul 24 2015

Stanford is pleased to announce its participation in a new initiative, Teaching Accessibility. We are joining together with a number of technology companies, accessibility advocates and other universities to promote the principle that because technology is so important to our society, it should be built to be usable by everyone, without regard to their abilities or disabilities. While there has been progress in recent years, consideration of accessibility is still not universal in the design and development of new and emerging technologies.  Changing this will require increased awareness and training, which is a goal that academia and industry can work together to advance.  You can learn more about the initiative at www.teachingaccessibility.com.
