County Files Breach of Contract Lawsuit Against Turner Construction

County Terminates Turner from Hospital Project and Seeks Damages
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF.—This morning, the County of Santa Clara filed a lawsuit in Superior Court seeking damages from Turner Construction for its failure to deliver a completed Hospital Bed Building on the Valley Medical Center campus. The County also issued a termination letter that details Turner Construction’s failure to make progress on the languishing project and its failure to submit a satisfactory plan of action to complete the projects in a reasonable time at a reasonable cost.  The County will immediately seek a new, qualified construction firm to complete the construction projects and deliver the much needed improved Burn Unit, Maternity Ward and Physical Rehabilitation Center among other patient-serving uses.
