Locally-heavy rain, thunderstorms possible over parts of southeastern U.S.

The storm system that brought severe weather to parts of the southern Plains on Thursday has shifted eastward and is expected to bring locally-heavy rain to parts of the lower Mississippi Valley and Southeast on Friday. The threat of severe weather with this system has decreased, with a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms on Friday across portions of the Tennessee and lower Mississippi valleys.
