The 450-acre Bountiful/Woods Cross 5th S. PCE Plume site is located in southern Davis County, Utah, about 10 miles north of Salt Lake City. Operations took place at two areas, the Hatchco property, a specialized carrier of bulk petroleum and petroleum products, petroleum solvents (such as toluene and xylene), and asphalt, and the Bountiful Cleaners, Inc. (BCI) property, a dry cleaning business. These historical operations contaminated groundwater with hazardous chemicals. EPA selected remedies for the site in 2006 and 2007. Cleanup activities are ongoing.
