I wanted to make you aware of a new Community of Practice forming called Application Support that’s coming to a conference room near you! The Community is being led by a mix of schools and organizations:

• Anne Pinkowski, IT Services
• Sean Brandt, School of H&S
• Leda Muller, Residential & Dining Enterprises
• Orlando Leon, Stanford University Libraries
  

We are currently 26 people (and growing!) from the School of Medicine, Graduate School of Business, School of Humanities and Sciences, Residential & Dining Enterprises, Stanford University Libraries, Administrative Systems, and IT Services. We are a community focused on the support of applications used at Stanford - including both commercial off the shelf applications and custom built applications.

Conversations could include application selection, user management, integration, operational support, authentication, security, best practices, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, reporting, training, vendor relations, product management, licensing, enhancements, gathering business requirements, metrics, monitoring, and so much more!

We are planning a kickoff on Tuesday, July 29^th from 2:00-3:00pm in Redwood Hall room G19.
