Justine Withers of the Data Control Unit, Metadata Department, will leave SUL at the end of October (last day at work will be Oct. 29). She has accepted a position as Electronic and Continuing Resources Catalog Librarian at the University of San Francisco. While she has been in Data Control for only a little more than two years, Justine has had a significant impact on the unit.
She has participated in various data cleanup projects related to big collection moves, and also in the unit's recent initiative to develop a record maintenance workflow for Stanford Digital Repository resources. We will definitely miss her energy and enthusiasm, but at the same time we are very happy that she is able to move on to a higher level librarian position. There will be a farewell gathering at the Lathrop 3rd floor courtyard on Oct. 27, at 2:30 pm.
Please join us if you wish to bid farewell to Justine in person.
