Peter's role in the library
I am the Head of the Art & Architecture Library, which includes the Visual Resources Center. While I share instructional, reference, and collection development responsibilities with my colleagues here in the Art & Architecture Library, the history of photography and 20th century American art are two areas I am especially interested in. One of the great pleasures I have in serving as Head of this Library is the opportunity to build upon the tremedous strengths of our Art Locked Stacks collection, which includes a formidable array of antiquarian works, illuminated manuscript and Chinese scroll facsimiles, contemporary art ephemera, publications, and multiples, as well as a fine collection of photobooks and photographic materials. And many other fascinating materials. Our exhibitions and notable acquisitions pages will give you an idea of our collection strengths.
