Jill Vizas

On-Campus Coordinator

Jill Vizas oversees the on-campus activities of Stanford in Washington, including student recruitment and admissions. Jill graduated from Stanford in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Before coming to Stanford in Washington, Jill worked as a paralegal in Washington, D.C. and as an attorney in San Francisco. Her office is located in the SIEPR Gunn Building, Room 105, and she is able to answer any questions about the program.

Adrienne M. Jamieson

Director

Professor Adrienne Jamieson, the MaryLou and George Boone Centennial Director of Stanford in Washington, is a political scientist who specializes in American national politics, public policy and the media. She is an affiliated professor in the Public Policy Program and frequently teaches one of the core seminars in Washington where she designs the curriculum, recruits local faculty and arranges students’ internships. She also serves as the on-site academic advisor, providing assistance with internship papers, honors theses, plans for graduate school and careers in politics, policy and the press. She is a recipient of Stanford’s Dinkelspiel Award for her contributions to undergraduate education.

Suzanne Miller

Assistant Director

Suzanne Miller directs the overall administration of Stanford in Washington. She oversees the staff and student affairs. She also work to secure student internship placements each quarter. Before coming to Stanford in Washington, Suzanne served as Senior Legislative Analyst for the Economic section of the Embassy of Japan. She also worked as a Legislative Director and Legislative Correspondence Director for two members of the Utah Congressional delegation on Capitol Hill.

Nichole Grant

Program Assistant

Nichole is the principal source of support, communications and logistics for Stanford in Washington, providing a central point of contact for Stanford departments, students, staff, faculty, university personnel and the outside community. Before coming to Stanford in Washington, Nichole worked as Assistant Director of New Beginnings Vocational Program in Washington, D.C.

Lori Carter

Financial and Facilities Manager

Lori Carter manages Stanford in Washington’s financial affairs and works with a variety of vendors to ensure our building is running smoothly. She previously held the post of finance associate at Stanford in Washington. Before coming to Stanford in Washington, Lori was the Office Manager for the Office of the State of Texas.

Asha Brundage-Moore

Program Coordinator

Asha Brundage-Moore organizes the programming at Stanford in Washington.  This includes scheduling cultural events and field trips as well as planning for speakers and other student activities. Asha graduated from Stanford in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology with a concentration in Food Policy. Asha studied at Stanford in Washington in the winter of 2015. While at SIW, she interned at the US Department of Agriculture’s Child Nutrition Program. She is always happy to answer any questions about Stanford in Washington.

Ana Figueroa

Program Coordinator

 
Ana Figueroa assists in organizing the cultural aspect of Stanford in Washington. She is a recent 2015 Stanford graduate. Ana participated in Stanford in Washington in the winter of 2014 and is very excited to be back at SIW!
