Password managers are applications that store your passwords securely and offer a mechanism for logging into websites without the need to remember all of your passwords. The Information Security Office has reviewed popular password managers and approved the use of LastPass, Dashlane, or Mac OS X Keychain for personal use.

Having a strong master password is essential to protecting your password file.
Enable two-factor authentication
All recommended password manager products support two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication will go a long way toward securing your master password and protecting all of your passwords.

Password managers are not approved for Stanford privileged account credentials.
