Stanford freshmen package 63,000 meals for the hungry

As part of New Student Orientation this year, freshmen and transfer students received an introduction to public service as a distinctive feature of a Stanford education through an event cosponsored with international relief organization Stop Hunger Now. Together, nearly 500 students packaged a record 63,000 meals in just three hours.
