Thomas Overbye discusses the basics of the Electric Grid while providing some mathematical background for the Grid. He is the Fox Family Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he has taught since 1991. His current research interests include electric power system analysis, visualization, dynamics, and cyber security.
