Our interests are in the areas ofcomputational mechanics, physics and scientific computing. We leverage advances in applied mathematics and high-performance computing to model, design and control real-world physical phenomena.
From the application point-of-view, we are particularly interested in energy and environment related phenomena like green building technology, solar energy conversion systems and wind energy. We develop mathematical techniques and computational tools — model reduction, multiscale frameworks, multiphysics simulators , control algorithms, data-driven methods — to efficiently model these systems. Whenever possible, we validate our techniques using the expertise of our experimental collaborators.
