The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Operations Coordination and Planning (OPS) maintains the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN). HSIN is designed to facilitate the secure integration and interoperability of information-sharing resources among federal, state, local, tribal, private-sector, and other non-governmental stakeholders involved in identifying and preventing terrorism as well as undertaking incident management activities. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Update documents how OPS has established new information sharing relationships with the national Information Exchange Federation.
