STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford sand volleyball team resumed action, Wednesday, defeating visiting San Jose State, 5-0, at the Stanford Sand Volleyball Stadium.
Stanford’s No. 3 pair, Jordan Burgess and Merete Lutz, clinched the match with a 21-13, 21-13 win over San Jose State’s Summer Avery and Julie Sam. The Cardinal improved to 3-1 overall, while the Spartans dropped to 0-10.
Up next, Stanford travels to Miami, Florida to participate in the Surf ‘n Turf Invitational hosted by Florida International. The Cardinal will take on Carson Newman, Florida International, Florida Atlantic and Webber International during the two-day tournament.
