For Faculty & Staff

“Imagination, originality, and risk taking should
not be byproducts of a university education.
They should be its core.”

—Jonathan Berger and Bryan Wolf

Find Funding

There are funding opportunities available to Stanford faculty and staff for arts projects, programming, and course-related expenses. Apply to artsCatalyst for cross-disciplinary arts connections (for example: bringing a neuroscientist into an art class or bringing a musician into a painting class.) For activities within your discipline, we encourage you to work with your department administrator.

Publicize Events + Courses

There are many avenues to reach students and the Stanford community when publicizing your event or course. We encourage you to work with your department publicist or student services administrator to get the word out.

Visiting Research Fellowships

The Stanford Arts Institute invites applications for one-year visiting fellowships. Fellows are expected to conduct interdisciplinary research on the theme  “Creative Cities.” Each Fellow will be affiliated with the Stanford Arts Institute, as well as with a relevant department or program at Stanford.
