Arts Expert in Residence: Playwright Shares her Experience
At BEAM, our aim is to help students develop their own career communities. The Arts Expert in Residence event in May 2015 defined what it was to be in an arts career community. Thirteen students came to the Harmony House to hear A-lan Holt, ’11, artist and playwright, share her experience in creating a sustainable artistic practice post-Stanford. Her objective was to facilitate a workshop to “help young creatives manifest their deepest artistic desires. These intimate connections provided Stanford student artists a sense of belonging, and A-lan empowered them to pursue their dreams.
