PUBLIC DOCENT-LED TOURS
Public docent-led tours of the Anderson Collection are offered weekly at the following times:
- Wednesdays at 12:30pm
- Saturdays at 12:30 and 2:30pm
- Sundays at 12:30 and 2:30pm
Tours will be offered at each starting time on a first-come basis.
Beginning January 2, 2016, the 12:30 Saturday and Sunday tours will have a special focus: Color in the Collection, Sculpture oat the Anderson Collection, or Women Artists in the Museum. Focus will change each tour and the Welcome Desk will have further information.
REQUEST A PRIVATE DOCENT-LED TOUR
Private docent-led tours are available by appointment Wednesdays through Sundays, 11am – 5pm and Thursdays, 11am – 8pm. No tours are scheduled on Tuesdays.
Tours last one hour. Group size is 10 people minimum and 30 people maximum per time slot.
School tours for high school groups are available. Only school groups may request tours on Mondays.
High school groups and Stanford University courses may request tours Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9am – 5pm and Thursdays 11am – 8pm.
Tour requests must be submitted at least six weeks in advance of the earliest requested tour date. To request a private docent-led tour click here.
Docent-led tours are full through January 2016. The next available tours are in February 2016 and later.
REGISTER A SELF-GUIDED TOUR
Self-guided tours do not involve a docent but must also be registered at least two weeks in advance. Teachers or group leaders must register if the group size exceeds 10 people. Groups may not exceed 40 people and should be divided into 10 or fewer in the galleries. All groups with participants under the age of 18 must have at least one adult supervising every 10 children.
