PlayFest CCSC's annual community event celebrates the importance of play. A fundraiser for the Center, it is a fun-filled day featuring engaging and innovative activities for children, time to explore CCSC’s play yards, and delicious food—all in support of CCSC! Food items such as pizza, sandwiches, and a variety of sides and drinks are available for purchase.
The PlayFest UnAuction
PlayFest also features the CCSC UnAuction. No bidding required! Just show up and sign up to purchase a selection of special events and experiences donated by teachers and community members. All proceeds will directly support CCSC.
Help Support PlayFest
Your help is needed to ensure PlayFest is an overwhelming success. Here are a few ways you can support this wonderful event:
VOLUNTEER
PlayFest Planning and Event/Activity Support
We need parents from every class to volunteer to staff the PlayFest planning committee and day-of activities, including children's activity stations, set up and clean up, food concessions, and the UnAuction. Shifts will be one hour so you can come enjoy the event and work a shift at one of the activities. Email playfest@ccscparentcoop.org for more information.
MAKE A DONATION
Party or Special Experiences
For the UnAuction, we are looking for donations of special parties and/or experiences that attendees will get to purchase (no bidding required!) space for. All proceeds will support CCSC! You can make your donation here.
Here are some ideas of activities and events that you could donate:
- Do you have a talent for arts and crafts? Consider hosting a craft party for six kids?
- Are you a star ice skater or a stellar soccer player? Why not offer a sports clinic for eight kids?
- Do you have access to a pool at your home, club, or apartment complex? Why not donate a pool party for eight?
- Are you a great baker or perhaps a wine connoisseur? Consider donating a cookie decorating party for eight kids or a wine tasting event for six adults?
We have many more ideas, so please email us at playfest@ccscparentcoop.org if you would like to do something, but don’t know just what.
Gift Cards
We are also in need of gift cards to retailers such as Costco, Target, Safeway, Amazon, Starbucks, Pete’s Coffee, and others. These cards will be used to purchase items for the event as well as for packages for sale at the UnAuction. If you have any unexpired cards, consider donating them to CCSC.
Materials
As the event approaches, we will need some supplies for the activities such as cardboard, cardboard tubes, masking tape, Sharpies, and more. We will contact you with a list of items you may contribute as we get closer to the event.
