Bio

Allison Puccioni has been an imagery analyst since 1993.  She served in the US Army during the 1990s where she worked with the U2 reconnaissance mission and the first Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mission in the Balkans.  In the 2000s, she was a civilian Senior Analyst and Operations Planner for Naval Special Warfare (SEALs Group ONE).  After obtaining her Master's Degree from the Middlebury Institute in 2008, she established a commercial imagery analytical capability for IHS Jane's and was co-founder and managing editor of the first magazine dedicated solely to the publication of Open Source Imagery Intelligence. After leaving Jane's to spend a year at the Z Program of Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Allison returned to the Open Source community. She currently leads a satellite imagery applications team at Google.  She also consults with media organizations including Jane's, the New York Times, and CNN.
