Family Day at the Cantor Arts Center

This free event features hands-on art projects, storytelling, performers, and music in conjunction with the Center's landmark exhibition “Tracing the Past, Drawing the Future: Master Ink Painters in 20th—Century China.” The event is sponsored by a generous grant from the Koret Foundation.

Family Day is geared toward children ages 5 to 12, but all are welcome. Children of all ages can choose from hands-on activities, such as ink drawings, dragon puppets, paper lanterns, opera masks, and paper blossom trees. Chinese lion dancers will perform, and storyteller Margaret More will entertain in the galleries.

Family-friendly food will be available for purchase (cash only), or families can bring a picnic to enjoy in the Rodin Sculpture Garden or on the lawn. Family Day is held rain or shine. Admission is free.
