ETL: Wendy Kopp - CEO and Founder, Teach for America

Wendy Kopp is the chief executive officer and founder of Teach For America, whose mission is tobuild the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting the nation’s most promisingfuture leaders in the effort. She is also chief executive officer and co-founder of Teach For All, aglobal network of independent social enterprises pursuing this mission in their countries.

 

Wendy is the author of One Day, All Children: The Unlikely Triumph of Teach For America andWhat I Learned Along the Way (2000) and of the forthcoming A Chance to Make History: WhatWorks and What Doesn’t in Providing an Excellent Education for All. She resides in New YorkCity with her husband Richard Barth and their four children.
