Personal bio
George Philip LeBourdais is an art historian focusing on the visual history of ecology and environmentalism. A Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University (Art, Architecture and Film History), he holds a B.A. in Art History, French, and Italian from Middlebury College and an M.A. in Art History from Williams College. He has received a number of grants and fellowships, including an Exchange Scholarship in the History of Art and Architecture Department at Harvard University, a Fulbright Research Grant to study the cultural history of the Alps in Switzerland, and a Clark Art Institute Fellowship for his research on nineteenth-century landscape photography. He enjoys rock climbing, rowing, cycling, soccer and singing. |
