Personal bio
Elizabeth Tallent is the author of the novel Museum Pieces and three story collections, In Constant Flight, Time with Children, and Honey. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper's, The Paris Review, and The Threepenny Review, as well as The Best American Short Stories, the O. Henry Prize anthology, and Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses. She has received Stanford's Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Award and the Northern California Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa's Excellence in Teaching Award, recognizing "the extraordinary gifts, diligence, and amplitude of spirit that mark the best in teaching," and was honored to receive Stanford's Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching. Her short story "Never Come Back" appeared in the PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories 2011. Currently teaching |
