Personal bio
Howard Zebker received the B.S. degree from Caltech in 1976, the M.S. from UCLA in 1979, and the Ph.D. from Stanford in 1984. He is currently Professor of Geophysics and Electrical Engineering, where his research group specializes in interferometric radar remote sensing. He is best known for the development of radar interferometry, leading to spaceborne and airborne sensors capable of measuring topography to meter scale accuracy and surface deformation to cm scale. Current research interests include planetary exploration, remote sensing applications, radar techniques, EM propagation and scattering, and digital signal processing. He has been particularly active in geophysical applications of remote sensing data, and his group continues to develop new processing methods expanding the use of SAR and InSAR. Currently teaching
