1. To learn the fundamentals of ultrasound imaging, including wave physics and propagation, diffraction, beamforming, image formation, Doppler ultrasound, and imaging applications.

2. To learn the fundamentals of therapeutic applications of ultrasound, including HIFU, temperature monitoring, elastography & radiation force, bubbles & cavitation, histotripsy, and bioeffects.

3. To apply the knowledge gained in the fundamentals of ultrasound to create ultrasound images.

3. To obtain direct experience with the operation of ultrasound imaging and therapy systems.
