Aquaculture provides half of the global fish supply and is growing rapidly, especially among big producers like China. Meanwhile, many wild fisheries are in decline. This research area asks:

• How can farmers raise fish sustainably in coastal ecosystems and the open ocean?
• What are alternatives to using wild fish in aquaculture feed?
