Bio

Monika Uribe Leitz received her M.D, from Anahuac University in Mexico, and  her Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), with a specialty in Global Health and Infectious Diseases from Emory University. She completed a certificate in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, a joint program  between Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, during her MPH. She is currently working on projects regarding the development of new mobile apps for behavior change, and co-manages the NIH Fogarty Research Ethics Program for scholars in Southeast Asia, under the mentorship of Dr. Jason Wang. Her goal is to complete her residency training while continuing her research efforts, particularly in Global Health.
