How does the online order process work?
Am I guaranteed my tickets?

Because we are committed to providing exceptional customer care, all orders are processed by hand rather than electronically, so tickets are not guaranteed immediately. This procedure enables us to contact you directly if there are any questions or problems and better ensures that we fulfill your specific order to your satisfaction.

We strive to keep you informed of your order’s status in the following manner. First, you will receive confirmation that your order has been sent to the Stanford Ticket Office when you complete the online order process. You will then receive (within three business days) a separate email confirming that the order has been personally received and is being processed by the Stanford Ticket Office.

Friend, Partner and Subscriber tickets are mailed beginning Friday, October 26. After single-performance tickets go on sale Friday, November 16, your tickets are mailed to you (or placed at will call), or a Stanford Ticket Office representative contacts you directly. It is only when your tickets are printed that your credit card is charged.

How does notification for last-minute tickets work? Am I guaranteed seats?

As a courtesy to our customers, you can sign up online to be notified via email for last-minute tickets to specific sold-out events. Should tickets become available within a few days of the event, a one-time email will be sent to the address provided.

Because this is a notification only, you are not guaranteed seats. Tickets must be ordered by calling the Stanford Ticket Office at 650-725-2787 (ARTS) during normal business hours. All tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is the policy regarding children?

Stanford Live is committed to providing quality cultural experiences for audience members of all ages, although some performances may not be suitable for young children. Regardless of age, all children must have a ticket. We ask that children attending Stanford Live performances sit quietly throughout the entire performance. Please inform the Stanford Ticket Office personnel if you will be attending with a child so that they may assist you in making the best seating selection.

How much are the handling charges on my order?

All subscription orders (three or more performances) are subject to a $11.00-per-order handling charge. Single-performance and all phone orders are subject to a $4.00 per ticket handling charge. After single performance tickets go on sale on Friday, November 16, there will be no handling fees for tickets ordered in person at the Stanford Ticket Office; subscription and single-performance orders placed by mail, by fax, by phone, or online will still be subject to handling charges.

New: Stanford students’s $10 tickets are subject to a lower $2-per-ticket handling charge. There is no handling fee for single tickets purchased in person at the Stanford Ticket Office.
