Environmental Health and Safety officials answer questions about what the university has done in the past two decades to prepare the campus for the next Big One. For starters, we have better emergency coordination and communication and significantly improved infrastructure.

Faculty Senate minutes now available online

Provost John Etchemendy recently pronounced Stanford to be in "fine shape" for fiscal 2010. "We’re not in growth mode, we're in recovery mode," he said at the Faculty Senate's first meeting of the year on Oct. 8.

Campus police investigate prowler incidents in dorms

The Department of Public Safety has issued a sketch of a suspect seen peeking into women's bathrooms in two student residences on Monday, Oct. 12. Anyone with information about this incident should call Public Safety at (650) 723-9633. In case of emergency, or to report suspicious persons and activities, call 9-911 from a campus phone or 911 from a cell phone, non-university phone or pay phone; or activate one of the blue 911 emergency towers around campus.
