German chancellor to give talk at Stanford on April 15

Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany, will give a talk at Stanford on April 15. The talk, which will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Dinkelspiel Auditorium, is open only to the Stanford community. Merkel also will help dedicate the building housing the Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Lab.

New site designed to help ascertain safety of applications

Stanford Law School's M. Ryan Calo launches a new site called WhatApp? that's a little bit Yelp, a little bit Wikipedia and a little bit Consumer Reports. It is designed to help people figure out just how safe some web and mobile apps are. The site reviews apps for privacy, security and openness.

Campus wishes Cardinal good luck in San Antonio

The women's basketball team received a rousing send-off as its members prepared to travel to San Antonio for the Final Four of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The Cardinal takes on Oklahoma on Sunday, April 4. Good luck, Cardinal!
