Stanford welcomed more than 1,300 prospective freshmen – affectionately known as "ProFros" – and their families for Admit Weekend 2010 on Thursday. During the weekend there were tours, open houses, lectures, a Stanford vs. Cal baseball game, concerts and a Q&A with President John Hennessy.

Ravenswood school board extends New Schools charter

Stanford will continue its partnership with the Ravenswood City School District under a renewed charter agreement that will maintain East Palo Alto Academy High School and continue to involve the university in elementary education in the district, the Ravenswood school board voted late Thursday.

“There is a connection between traditional gender roles and differences in air pollution exposure,” says Lynn Hildemann, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering and a Clayman Institute faculty research fellow, who studies indoor pollution in developed and developing countries.
