Using social networks to register more Indians as bone marrow donors has become both a Good Samaritan cause for GSB's Jennifer Aaker and part of her curriculum. She's spearheading a campaign to get 100,000 more people signed up with the national bone marrow donor registry.

A new recreation and fitness center will rise on the west side of campus on the far end of Roble Field under preliminary plans approved by the Board of Trustees. The trustees also approved renovation of the Liliore Green Rains Houses, pictured left, a residence for graduate students.

2010 was, as always, an interesting year at Stanford, and University Photographer Linda Cicero was there for all of it — the game-changing scientific research, the energetic Stanford Band, the raucous welcome to the freshmen, the subtleties of great teaching, the bittersweetness of graduation.
