Memorial service Thursday for longtime staffer Pat Burke

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Church for Patrick "Pat" Burke, who worked in the Department of Electrical Engineering for nearly 25 years. Burke, who died last week at 45, was known for his generous heart, his commitment to work and his enthusiasm.

'Frankencamera' platform available on Nokia N900

The open-source digital photography software platform "Frankencamera," which allows users to create novel camera capabilities, is now available as a free download for Nokia N900 "mobile computers." Marc Levoy, professor of computer science and electrical engineering, leads the effort.
