Russian president slated to speak at Stanford Wednesday

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is expected to speak on campus on Wednesday, June 23, during a tour of Silicon Valley. Faculty, staff and students can get tickets on a first-come, first-served basis at the Ticket Office on the Tresidder Union second floor beginning today, June 21, at 10 a.m.

Board approves conflict mineral proxy voting guideline

The Stanford Board of Trustees recently approved a new proxy voting guideline that says the university will vote "yes" on "well-written and reasonable shareholder resolutions that ask companies for reports on their policies and efforts regarding their avoidance of conflict minerals and conflict mineral derivatives." Students are applauded for spearheading the issue.

CISAC launches initiative to reduce nuclear risks
