Christian McBride to celebrate Herbie Hancock

Christian McBride, one of the best bassists of his generation, celebrates the legacy of legendary jazz composer and keyboardist Herbie Hancock at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, in Dinkelspiel Auditorium. McBride's band will include several veterans of Hancock's celebrated ensembles.

As students took a hiatus from classes and homework, the campus took on an unhurried feel. Those of us who remained – and those who were here for a visit – took time to smell the flowers, share a laugh, a romantic stroll, a good book, a leisurely bike ride or a college tour.

Stanford experts to discuss future of health care reform

A forum on the effects of the new health care reform package is planned for April 1 at 1 p.m. in the Clark Center Auditorium. The event will feature Philip Pizzo, dean of the Medical School; Alan Garber, professor of medicine; and Alain Enthoven, emeritus professor in the Business School.
