Cardinal sweeps Penn State to win national title

The men's volleyball team swept Penn State in the NCAA final at Maples Pavilion Saturday. Brad Lawson had 24 kills and only one hitting error to lead the Cardinal to a 30-25, 30-20, 30-18 victory before a record crowd of 6,635. The title is the first for the program since 1997.

Supreme Court of the Navajo Nation visits Law School

When a bus and car collide on a highway that runs through the Navajo Nation in Arizona, who has jurisdiction over the resulting civil lawsuit? The justices of the Supreme Court of the Navajo Nation heard oral arguments in a case on that very topic in a courtroom at the Law School last Thursday.

Trustees take a road trip to Yale for April meeting

Stanford's Board of Trustees recently met at Yale, where they learned more about that institution's undergraduate residential education program, its efforts to internationalize and the integration of arts into every aspect of campus life. Board Chair Leslie Hume talked to Stanford Report about the visit.

  • Academic Council Thursday: Faculty, staff and students are invited to join President John Hennessy for the annual meeting of the Academic Council, Thursday, May 13, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. The meeting will begin in the new John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Building and, after a walking tour along Serra Mall, continue in the new Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center.
