SLAC tours program ramps up in time for summer

After a two-year hiatus, the tour program at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is back! Following budget cuts in 2008, the program has been resurrected with a revamped Visitor Center, four new tour guides – all graduate students – and a new outreach manager.

Hundreds of members of the Stanford community gathered at Roble Field on Friday for the fourth annual Cardinal Walk. The event included music and festivities before Provost John Etchemendy led the group on 1.5-mile campus stroll. Stanford News Service was there to capture the fun.
