Kennedy, Perry assist voters with CaliforniaChoices.org

Historian David Kennedy and Next 10's Noel Perry are launching CaliforniaChoices.org this week. The website will serve as a nonpartisan clearinghouse for state governance reform issues and is designed to empower California's voters to take action.

Small mammals at greater risk from global warming

The balance of biodiversity within North American small-mammal communities is so out of whack from the last episode of global warming about 12,000 years ago that the current climate change could push them past a tipping point, according to Stanford biologists studying fossil evidence.

Meeting on proposed habitat conservation plan is Tuesday

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will hold a public comment meeting Tuesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. in Tresidder to discuss Stanford's proposed habitat conservation plan. Among the species of concern is the California tiger salamander.
