Fourth annual 'Walk the Farm' explores climate change

On Saturday, 42 trekkers participated in the fourth annual "Walk the Farm," a daylong hike across Stanford's property that explores various global themes. This year's 21-mile walk crossed the Dish area and Jasper Ridge before passing by SLAC and returning to the main campus.

Ten Stanford scholars and researchers are among the 229 leaders in the sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts, business and public affairs elected to the prestigious American Academy of Arts & Sciences. The Academy celebrates the 230th anniversary of its founding this year.

The search committee for a new vice provost for undergraduate education invites faculty, students and staff to recommend candidates from among Stanford's faculty. Professor Brad Osgood, senior associate dean for student affairs in the School of Engineering, is chair of the committee.
