Roland Prizes, Community Partnership Awards announced

Debra Satz and Rob Reich will share the Miriam Aaron Roland Volunteer Service Prize. Three Community Partnership Awards will go to the GSB's Alumni Consulting Team, Shelter Network and Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education.

Energy institute funds its first round of research

The Precourt Institute for Energy has handed out its first research grants, totaling $1.8 million in seed funding to support six research projects.

Program aims to produce insights into brain injury

Krishna Shenoy, associate professor of electrical engineering and of bioengineering at Stanford, is part of a team of researchers at four institutions exploring how the brain and its microcircuitry react to sudden physiological changes and what can be done to encourage recovery from injury.
